Does curl-x add a watermark to Instagram Reels?
No. Instagram doesn't burn a platform watermark into public Reels the way TikTok does, and curl-x doesn't add one either — you get the same MP4 Instagram's CDN already serves. If a Reel was reposted from TikTok, any watermark already baked into the video stays in the file.
Can curl-x download private Instagram accounts or posts?
No — extraction only works on public posts. If the account is private or the post needs a login to view, curl-x can't reach it, the same as any tool using public endpoints.
Does it handle Instagram carousels with multiple photos and videos?
Yes, each item in a carousel post is extracted and listed individually, so a 5-photo carousel gives you 5 separate downloadable files instead of one.
What about Instagram Stories?
Stories expire after 24 hours and aren't served through the same public endpoints as feed posts and Reels, so curl-x can't reliably pull them — grab them before they disappear if you need them.
Will this work on my iPhone or Android phone?
